Benefits
Affordable, nice texture, unscented
Drawbacks
Causes allergic reaction for some people
Details The product sounded very promising, but I had a severe allergic reaction to the salycic acid contained in the product. I had no idea that I was allergic to it, but I do have sensitive skin. For those people who have a lot of allergies, be careful. I should have tested it first on a small area of my skin over a couple of days before using it over my entire face, but I kept reading online that people with sensitive skin would be fine with salycic acid. This was not true for me at all. I am also allergic to benzoil peroxide, so I am greatly limited by what acne treatments I can use. I was also struck by how Murad does NOT have the ingredients printed on the tube of lotion itself. That information is contained on the box, but since most of us throw away the box, I just felt that it was irresponsible of Murad not to publish more information about key ingredients on the product itself.
Conclusions
Be cautious if you are highly allergic to a lot of different substances.
