Skin Care Review: Retin-A Micro
|
by Susan McMillan, Crown Point, IN USA
Rating Good
Benefits
Very effective in controlling moderate acne.
Drawbacks
Can cause burning, redness, dryness and peeling in individuals with sensitive skin
Details I've suffered from moderate acne most of my life. The only over the counter medication that was effective in its control was Benzoyl Peroxide. Unfortunately, for me, I was HIGHLY allergic to it. My face and neck would swell, and the dryness and itching it caused was unbearable. I finally found a dermatologist that prescribed Retin-A Micro, and it worked very well for me. I have the odd breakout now and again; but my skin is, now, more often clear than not.
I would recommend the lower strength version of this product for individuals who, like me, have sensitive skin.
Conclusions
I would recommend this product if over the counter "remedies" haven't worked for you.
