Skin Care Review: Obagi system
|
by gerard cadlum, manila philippines
Rating Good
Benefits
reduced pore size, smoother skin, acne control, skin rejuvenation
Drawbacks
redness, itching, flaking, sensitive to sun
Details the Obagi system differentiates itself from other systems by affecting the skin from a cellular level and and not just on the skin level. i used Obagi in conjunction with a collagen induction theraphy and i am happy with the results that i have achieved so far in 2 weeks of use. i was prescirbed to use the Obagi togehter with an aggressive use of tretinoin and my skin have really "brightend" up since i used it. after two seeks, my skin did not sag as before and is feels "full" to touch unlike before were i noticed it lacked resilllency. a drawback is the excessive redness and peeling. but this only shows that the system is working since the old skin is being replaced. the redness can be explained by more circulation of the the blood.
i was prescribed a 6 week program, but since the CIT procedure reaches its full benefit after 3 months, i will continue to use the Obagi system for 12 weeks.
because of the expense associated woth Obagi, i am currently sourcing the active ingredients of Obagi and using this after the 6th week.
Conclusions
albeit expensive, it does hold up to its claim.
