Skin Care Review: retin a

Rating Satisfactory
Benefits
takes care of acne
Drawbacks
skin is dry
Details I use 0.25% Retin A Gel for my acne. It works fairly well for that purpose, but it makes my skin very dry. I often have flakes on my face which appear worse when I apply my makeup. Since I have acne prone skin, applying moisturizer seems to counteract what the medicine is doing, and I end up with more pimples. One thing I noticed is that you must apply it every day. If you skip a day, the skin seems to be flakier, probably because the process of accelerated skin turn-around is halted and the dead skin just stays on your face until you continue the regimine.
Conclusions
Use it for acne, but perhaps start with the lowest strength to avoid all the dryness.
