Skin Care Review: Murad Acne Complex Kit
|
by Anonymous
Rating Adverse Effects
Benefits
None, my acne got worse, but cleanser & lotion smelled nice, not strong fragrances.
Drawbacks
itchy red face, very dry and flaky
Details I bought Murad Acne Complex 60 day kit after reading the ingredients didn't contain benzoyl peroxide, which I have bad reactions to, and it contained salicylic acid which I have used in the past with no reaction at all. I only used it for 3 days and in the middle of the night I woke up because my face was very itchy and red! I ended up washing the medicine off of my face. The next morning my skin was very dry, even after putting moisturizer on it & still didn't help much. I called today since there is no one to speak with on Sunday & they are sending me the sensitive acne treatment version. I think I had an allergic reaction to the exfoliating acne treatment gel since I would use apply it at night. I did have to send back the entire kit they sent me (I had to pay to ship back). Hopefully the new one I get works to clear my breakouts. I used to use Proactiv for a while but just stopped using it because it kind of stopped working for me. I will post my review for the sensitive version once I start using it.
Conclusions
Don't buy the regular version if you have sensitive skin, get sensitive skin version.
