Details I am a 30yo white male, fair complexion, sensitive skin, semi-oily, with cystic and non-cystic adult acne. I tried murad (the wash, exfoliating toner, and moisturizer), and I saw an improvement in the first week, and then it was all very downhill from there. It just got worse and worse, my skin got drier, red, and extremely irritated, especially on the sides of my nose where my nostrils meet my face--red and painful. But the worst part was that this product completely destroyed my forehead. Where I previously had a few deep cysts and a few smaller breakouts, my ENTIRE forhead became completely blanketed by at least 50 or more tiny breakouts, and VERY red. It's been 2 months since I stopped (I used it for 3 weeks) and my forehead is still messed up. I noticed Murad relies heavily on acids (salicylic, hyaluronic and glycolic) and I think it literally gave me an acid burn. I'm now using Carley's Clear and Smooth Acne treatment with their day and night moisturizers, and natural bar soap. It's all natural and ph balanced with NO acids. Too early to post results yet, but it seems to have helped decrease the redness already after a week.
