Skin Care Review: Proactiv
|
by Stella
Rating Adverse Effects
Benefits
Proactiv contains some of the strongest acne fighting agents available.
Drawbacks
Proactiv is too harsh for sensitive combination skin.
Details I am 23 years old and have dealt with acne since I was 13. I have nodular cystic acne. Inflammation is really bad for me. For years I was told by dermatologists that my skin was not that bad. Well, they all lied. I tried Proactiv once when I was about 19 years old. It didn't work. I tried it again one month ago. My face was extremely inflammed, it ached and itched. Proactiv contains Benzoyl Peroxide, Sulfer, Salicylic acid, and glycerin. I basically experience a product overhaul. Clearing up chronic acne should be gentle and gradual. Proactiv was shocking and harsh to my skin. I also have a type of dermatitis.
