Benefits
There were no obvious benefits to buying this product.
Drawbacks
There's the disappointment of having tried another acne cure only to have it fail.
Details The cleanser is a bit like a scrub, it's grainy and doesn't foam and does leave the skin feeling clean without feeling stripped. the toner also has a good scent that isn't too medicine-y or overwhelming, it also leaves the skin feeling a bit moisturized. The lotion contains 2.5% benzoil peroxide and isn't greasy or heavy. So on their own each product is fine but put them together and I ended up with even worse, painful acne.I think I ended up with an allergic reaction or something after about a week of use.My skin was red and inflammed and felt hot to the touch. After I used it only once a day in the morning instead of twice and eventually stopped using the lotion because the acne only seemed to get worse. After about 6 weeks of use, I started on 10/2 and it's now 11/14, I have yet to see the miraculous results advertised by their infomercial.
Conclusions
Proactive isn't worth the $ and doesn't live up to expectations.
