Drawbacks
Increased breakouts.
Details I am in my early twenties, and have never had skin problems until recently. I don't know what has caused my skin to break out in inflamed lesions; I think it is a combination of a new high-stress job and the fact that I picked up a coffee habit to go with the job. My skin has become very bumpy and oily, and at this point I am pretty desperate for a solution. When it first started, I knew that my skin would be too sensitive to treat it with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. I tried tea tree oil treatments, and it seemed to be working for a few weeks, but eventually it started to make the problems worse. I gave up on tee tree oil and am trying to control the breakouts through diet and nutritional supplements. Also, I want to try some of the DIY smartskincare homemade remedies; I would love to see more reviews of these.
Conclusions
Don't expect tea tree oil to be the magic quick fix!
Price (paid by reviewer) ranges from $10 to $30
