I am 19 years old, and have suffered from acne for about 5 years now. I have tried all the over the counter products and nonthing worked. So then I went to a dermatologist, he prescribed me Minocyline and Clindamycin and i got results from them in about 6 weeks. My skin is so much better now, I only get an occational pimple. I went to my dermatologist after being on those products for 2 months and he told me to continue using those for 3 more months and he also prescribed me Differin Cream, which I just started using a week ago. The Differin seems to be drying my skin out a great deal, and I am only using it every other night. I think I am going to quit using it though.

Conclusions
I think that Minocyline is very effective for treating servere acne.
