Skin Care Review: St. Ives Naturally Clear Green Tea Scrub
|
by Emily Rothman
Rating No effect
Benefits
Smells nice; feels good; looks natural
Drawbacks
false claims; isn't really natural; can be hard to wash off; slightly irritating
Details To sum it up, St. Ives is good in theory and has nice smelling and good feeling products, but the benefit stops there. Green tea is 14th on the ingredients list and it is surrounded by a bunch of hard-to-pronounce synthetic chemicals. Also, the green color of the scrub is actually dyed.
It didn't really cause any problems, but it didn't help anything either. Wasn't particularly gentle, didn't clear breakouts,& didn’t reduce redness. Promising container: hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, and dermatologist tested; but such claims mean nothing.
Conclusions
No real benefits. I recommend Aubrey Organics as an alternative. Read labels, natural is better.
