Skin Care Review: Roaccutane
|
by Carol Singapore
Rating Good
Benefits
improved skin texture
pores visibly smaller
very oily complexion much less oily
Drawbacks
not permanent
high risk
expensive
minimal sun exposure
Details The results were excellent in terms of acne treatment. Not only were my acne entirely gone, my skin texture was dramatically improved and pores visibly smaller. My very oily complexion was also much much less oily. I loved my skin and felt total confidence in myself.
Unfortunately, the benefits are all written in past tense... The treatment was for 6 months after which about a year or so later, most, if not all the problems, came back. My skin is now as oily as before and I get regular spots. But I have been told not to go back on the Roaccutane course because of the likely repercussions and side effects. I don't yet know if i have been affected during that 6-month course... It is very effective if not for the very adverse side effects which is also a cause of concern for me now.
