Skin Care Review: AminoGenesis Therapeutic Facial Repair Formula
|
by Lou, Austin, TX USA
Rating Satisfactory
Benefits
slightly lightened sun spots; very slight firming
Drawbacks
irritated skin around eyes; very perfumy smell
Details I am a middle-aged woman with fairly good skin, but it is getting a little loose. Last summer I bought a 1.7oz. jar of the AminoGenesis. It is supposed to exfoliate, moisturize and rejuvenate your skin. It started exfoliating the skin around my eyes after a couple of days of use. The skin got all crinkly and dry. After a few weeks, I stopped using the product. With the help of another line's exfolient, Fanie's Unveil, I finally got rid of all the dry skin around my eyes.
About a month ago, I thought I would give the AminoGenesis another try and finish the jar. Again, I had the crinkly eyes, but not as much. I did finish the jar, and I'm not really impressed. It seems to me that a couple of sun spots lightened a bit, and my face might have firmed just a little (the product contains a lot of amino acids.) But the skin around my eyes is still a little irritated, and the perfumy smell annoyed me.
Conclusions
I probably won't use this product again. I think I'll try some copper peptides instead.
