Skin Care Review: PreVentin AT - Advanced Wrinkle Therapy
|
by Holly Brookstein, NY USA
Rating Good
Benefits
skin brighter with improved texture, some dimishing of "smile" lines around mouth.
Drawbacks
No significant drawbacks. Has slightly tacky texture. Does not provide moisture.
Details This is CVS's imitation brand of Strivectin, which is sold in department stores for a significantly higher price point. Has quite a smorgasbord of ingredients including acetyl hexapeptide-3, aloe, other peptides, tocopheryl, ascorbic acid and a bunch of botanical extracts.
I am 48, with very fair, very sensitive, dry, ruddy, and freckled skin, with significant sun damage from childhood. Most of the wrinkling I have is around my mouth- both above the lip line, and deep furrows from the sides of my nose to my mouth.
I have been using the product for about 3 weeks, two times daily. While I'm not seeing a dramatic change in the deep wrinkles, there is a tiny bit of improvement in the small lines above my lip. But the most significant improvement is in overall skin texture and brightness. My pores seem somewhat smaller, and my skin is smoother, and not as dull.
Conclusions
Evens skin tone, and improves texture without irritation.
Price (paid by reviewer) about $20
