Being a Dermatology nurse I knew I would eventually age, so started using Retin A as a prophylactic measure 15 yrs ago, at age 39. My skin is still firm & beautiful, and not a wrinkle can be found. Other good skin care practices must be used also, like avoiding sun, no smoking, keeping skin moist with a good moisturizure daily, and sufficient water intake. Also, proper application of the product is necessary, which is waiting 20 minutes after washing, and a pea size application for your entire face. This must be done at bed time, not during the day. I have a clinical skin care salon, and for middle aged women with normal skin, and no health problems, I recommend a dermatology consult for Retin A. It isn't for every one, but if your skin is showing signs of menapausal distress, I certainly would give it a try.
