Skin Care Review: Retin-A 0.1%
|
by Susan, GA
Rating Excellent
Benefits
Smooths and clears skin. Eliminates blackheads and scaly places. Reduces sallowness.
Drawbacks
Must avoid the sun. May take awhile for your skin to get used to it.
Details I've been using Retin A for a decade for all the benefits listed above. Because my insurance won't pay for it, I order it from Canada at about 20% of the price in the states.
I don't use Retin A on my face in the summer because I am working in my yard every day and it would burn too easily. During those months, I use NeoStrata 15% glycolic acid.
However, during the summer I do use Retin A for poison ivy which I get a lot. The cream dries up the blisters and stops the itching in a fraction of the time it would take to heal normally.
I've also tried Tavorac but didn't see any difference and it costs twice as much.
Conclusions
The main product on this site's list worth paying for.
Price (paid by reviewer) $20 for 30g
Where to find it Canada Drug Superstore
