Skin Care Review: Tazorac (tazarotene)
|
by lelena Azarmsa, Alamo, CA, United States
Rating Adverse Effects
Benefits
Supposed to give one smoother, fresher looking skin with less fine lines and wrinkles.
Drawbacks
Redness and peeling comes and goes which is hard to get past.
Details I think if you don't have any adverse reaction to using Tazorac it is the strongest concentration of a retinoid and is supposed to have pretty good results for making skin look 'younger'. I would like to try a less irritating formula (such as Renova) to see if that would allow me to use it daily. I would recommend starting VERY slow when trying this product and working yourself up to every other day and then hopefully every day to see full results. Also, I found that one's skin needs to be completely dry before applying and also waiting at least 10 minutes before applying anything else.
Conclusions
Talk to your dermatologist to see if it is right for you.
