I never had a "skin care" routine. I would wake up, splash tap water on my face, head out the door. That was it. And I didn't think twice about my skin because I always looked about ten years younger than my age. Well, when I turned 36, I noticed that when I smiled, there were these new little lines that formed from the skin that gathered as my cheeks pushed up the skin under my eye. Oh, no! My first "wrinkle." Or would that be considered new eye bags that were coming? Whatever the case, I immediately started trying all kinds of "anti-wrinkle" creams. I've tried everything from Oil of Olay, Victoria Principal's line, no-name stuff from the beauty supply store, and now Neutrogena's Anti-Wrinkle cream. And now, a year and a half later, I can honestly say that I have not seen a bit of improvement in my undereye wrinkles. As a matter of fact, I think the lines now look worse!! I truly wish that I would have saved my money and not spent so much on so many useless products. I've spent as low as $5 on no-name stuff to as high as $40 on some Lancome stuff (which didn't work either). My advice for everyone is to spend as little as possible, make sure you wear good sunscreen, drink plenty of water, get enough sleep, and then, if you must, try some of the low-cost do-it-yourself type remedies that can be found here. If I knew then what I know now, that is the route I would have taken! I only hope I can undo some of the damage that all of the applying of those other products seem to have done.
