Skin Care Review: Roc Deep Wrinkle Correxion

by Alis Lelan Wisel

Rating
Good

Benefits
I've seen a diminishment in wrinkles, including deeper ones.

Drawbacks
I'd appreciate more explicit information on the packaging.

Details
I've used Roc products for almost a year. Presumably there is some difference between the stuff that is marketed as "Deep Wrinkle Correxion" and the "regular" stuff. Neither product has caused any negative reaction for me, such as stinging, so I can't tell like that; I believe, at least, that the "Deep Wrinkle" products have been more helpful, and that I'm not just imagining things! Others have told me I look better, so if we're all hallucinating, at least it's a pleasant dream. :) I have tried other products as well, which do not include retinol, such as some products by Origins (their stuff always smells nice, more than you can say for Roc!), and I don't see the same degree of change. I wish the nice smell and the good effect could come in the same package. I was somewhat surprised to read on this website that retinol is not as effective as some other forms of Vitamin A that have to be acquired by prescription. At another place on the website, however, some information seems to contradict that, with the claim that if you use enough retinol it will work and that cells naturally contain retinol. So I assume that the Roc product marketed as "Deep Wrinkle" works because it does contain more retinol. I have also used a Roc cleanser that contains retinol, and I believe I've seen even better results since then. Perhaps I had become habituated to the lower amount and needed a boost.

Conclusions
Too many women resort to surgery or injections when there may be safer and cheaper optons.
