Skin Care Review: Roc Retin-Ox Correxion
|
by Judith UK
Rating Adverse Effects
Benefits
I saw no benefits and had to discontinue after 2 weeks due to side effects.
Drawbacks
Red, itchy, blotchy skin.
Details I've successfully used Renova for a number of years. However, my prescription ran out, so I decided to try products I thought might give a similar effect. I used this as I would Renova - nightly, with a break every few nights to keep skin irritation down. However, I found that my skin just got progressively worse: itchy, blotchy and red. I found that the cream had a an unpleasant fishy undertone to it - that I didn't usually notice until the next morning when washing my face. It took about a week for my skin to return to normal after I stopped using the cream - with Renova, I'd usually find that this was when my skin was at its best. With the Roc cream, however, there was no improvement.
Conclusions
Didn't work for me, though might for others.
Price (paid by reviewer) about $50
