Skin Care Review: Retin-A Micro (by Ortho Dermatological)
|
by Ronald Rodgers, San Francisco, CA US
Rating Good
Benefits
My facial skin showed a good improvement early on in the treatment.
Drawbacks
I'm supposed to use a "pea" sized dab and work it into the entire face - very difficult.
Details I have used the product for 6 months and have seen a good improvement in the color and reduction in age and sun spots. I used to have a lot of age marks and sun damage around my temples and the sides of my face. These have substantially disappeared. I also have hopes that the small lines in the corner of my mouth will even out, and the small crow's feet around my eyes will benefit. I also use it under my eyes, and I have not noticed any redness or other signs of skin sensitivity to it.
I find that using a "pea sized" dab of the gel is very difficult. First, you have to dab it all over your face and then it often dries too fast to spread it. In addition, I feel that I have to be careful not to use my whole had to smooth it around because (it seems to me) that half of the gel would stay on my hand. So I end up using a finger to spread it around.
It's very expensive, so I hope it works well enough so I can reduce the application from nightly to two times a week.
Conclusions
I think it's a very useful product and I have experienced no side effects.
