Skin Care Review: Restylane
|
by C. Golden, Indianapolis, IN U.S.
Rating Satisfactory
Benefits
Restylane is an injectible filler use to fill out areas of the face.
Drawbacks
The needle stings, even with topical numbing cream.
Details I got the injectible, Restylane, for my nasolabial folds (lines from nose to corner of mouth). It was not quite what I expected, but I am OK with the results. However, not sure if I'll do it again. My main concern is that you can actually SEE the filler under the skin, if I make certain facial movements (like yawning). It looks a bit like a worm under the skin (gross!). I don't know if this is normal or if I just had an inexperienced doctor (I'd like to hear from more women on this). But if I'm just looking in the mirror with a normal expression, the filler cannot be seen, and my lines DO look better. Not perfect, though. If I do get it again, I will try a different doctor.
Conclusions
Make sure you have a good doctor and if they've ever had any bad results for patients.
