As a student, it is always painful parting with money. But I value my skin enough to invest in its appearance. I have been using ESTEE LAUDER products for about eight years. My skin has always been dry (and extremely flakey during the winter). I started out using DAY WEAR CREAM SPF 15. This cream contains grape polyphenols; vitamins a, c, and e; and titanium oxide protection against UVA damage. It is very rich and smells like cucumber. It absorbs well into my dry skin. I LOVE this cream! Currently I am testing out their new skin care product called LIGHTSOURCE. I am using the moisturizer, instead of the cream, because the packaging prevents major bacterial proliferation. It contains SPF 15 against both UVA and UVB radiation. It smells wonderful. And it leaves a radiance on my skin (thanks to some ground up emeralds or diamonds, as the company claims). I might continue with LIGHTSOURCE. To exfoliate my dry skin I have tried FRUITION. I beleive that it did a good job exfoliating with acids but may have been to strong. I love the smell but the price makes me nautious. So I do not use it any more. I love their gentle exfoliating miracle called IDEALIST. It is gentler in comfort and results in comparison to FRUITION. It creates a silky veil on my skin which I love. But unfortionately, this line is meant for the rich and famous. I finally gave up the soap (gasp, gasp) and tried their PERFECTLY CLEAN foaming gel cleanser, which smells like a citrus margarita (well maybe just like lemon and lime). This is a nice product. To infuse my skin with moisture I have tried SO MOIST. I like this product since it seems to create a barrier on the skin and encourage it to release moisture. This one is hard to explain but I realy liked its action. One of my favourites is their sea kelp and volcanic ash exfoliating scrub, SO POLISHED. It smells like an expensive holiday while in the shower. It is addictive but should not be used daily. Sometimes I sin. This review makes me seem like an ESTEE LAUDER junkie but I am not. My staple product over the years has been DAY WEAR. I buy it at various department stores (every three months or so) while they have a gift with purchase on. That way I have been able to try various products for free. If I like a product I will usually buy the full size but I prefer living on the samples. The only complaint that I have about these products is that they seem to make my skin worse if I stop using them. It may be the ingredients that my skin becomes dependent on or maybe they make a great impovement that I only notice when I discontinue use. I have tried to buy a cheaper face cream but my skin becomes dry and unappealing once I stop using DAY WEAR or LIGHTSOURCE.
