Skin Care Review: AHA peel
|
by Carol Australia
Rating Excellent
Benefits
fresher looking, softer skin with reduction in fine lines
Drawbacks
ongoing cost after initial treatment
Details I am 54 years old and decided to treat myself (for the first time in my life) to treatment at a small beauty salon recommended by a friend. My skin has what I would call normal ageing for my years, but my skin without makeup was drab and lacked colour, and I have suffered from occasional return of acne. I did not want to pursue anything very aggressive and very expensive such as laser. I have now had two treatments out of the course of five, and I'm surprised at the difference already. My skin is definitely much softer and without makeup has more 'rosiness'. Many of the fine lines around my eyes and forehead have softened, and the real bonus is the rapid healing and reduction in severity of acne. I find I'm actually using less makeup in the last week as well. I am usually very sceptical of the claims often made for skin products, but I'm very pleased so far. Now I can't wait for the last one to see the results.
Conclusions
The course of AHA peels for me is great - non-invasive and minimal time involved.
