Skin Care Review: Scotch Tape for frown lines
|
by Candace R., Pasadena, CA USA
Rating Good
Benefits
Reduces lines between eyebrows.
Drawbacks
Looks a little strange.
Details I use two little pieces (each 1/2" long) of 3/4" Scotch tape between my eyebrows at night. I place them diagonally, forming an inverted "V" near the top of my nose. This immobilizes the muscles that cause those little frown lines. We make the same expressions when we sleep that we do when we're awake, and it has made a noticeable difference in the depth of those lines. I tried Botox once, and even though the result produced by wearing tape is less dramatic, it's also far less costly and has fewer side effects! I read this suggestion in an excellent book called "Facercise" by Carole Maggio. She recommends using surgical tape, but it made my face bread out. I've had no problem with Scotch tape.
Conclusions
If you don't mind looking a little silly, this really helps to minimize frown lines.
