Skin Care Review: Vitamin C 15% with 10 AHA skinceuticals
|
by Jimmy, Kansas City, MO United States
Rating Good
Benefits
AHA really provided an 'extra' boost to the vit c. I had no new wrinkles.
Drawbacks
Made my face really shiny, very noticeable. Very expensive stuff.
Details The science behind the skinceuticals line is compelling. The doctor who started the line has done bona fide testing of his products. In particular the product I selected has proven to even out skin tone, to prevent new wrinkles and to rebuild collagen and elastin. The product however is very fragile, and I would recommend refrigeration to prevent further breakdown of the product. The product is also pricey, so if your pocketbook is tight you might want to try other things. The serum I selected had a 10% solution of Alpha Hydroxy which provides an extra boost to the power of vitamin C. On the downside, the product made my face much more 'shiny' almost 'greasy'. So I would suggest that if you have combo or oily complexion to only apply product at night. Since vitamin C is an antagonist to copper, it would be wise to wait several hours before applying any copper products.
Conclusions
This is a good product, pricey, but backed by science.
