Skin Care Review: Neutrogena deep clean cream cleanser
|
by Linda Geng, Houston, TX USA
Rating Satisfactory
Benefits
inexpensive, worked initially, exfoliating effects, leaves skin tingly
Drawbacks
stopped working, has lots of chemicals (as most commercial cosmetic products do)
Details I first used this cleanser when I was a teenager (combo/oily skin w/ occasional break outs) and it did a pretty good job of keeping blemishes at bay and making my skin feel very clean. However, it's been a few years, and I don't think this cleanser does a good job of getting rid of all the dirt and build-up on my skin.
It may be due to the fact that as the skin ages, it gets drier. I would not recommend this product for dry skin or sensitive skin, as it contains salicylic acid which is a chemical abrasive (aids in exfoliation and can cause irritation). It may also be that my skin adjusted to this cream cleanser over the years and it just takes more of it to make a difference.
Conclusions
Satisfied with what results I had from the earlier years of usage.
