Skin Care Review: Yogurt as a cleanser
|
by Micki O'Brien Elliott, Denver, CO USA
Rating Excellent
Benefits
Inexpensive, non-irritating
Drawbacks
Messy, hard to travel with
Details I have tried everything to treat my 30-something, sensitive, acne prone skin. My skin is not oily but is very reactive, so much so that I simply can not use a toner at all. The reaction I get from most cleansers is little bumps, redness, and/or acne. I read on the Lily Organics website to try cleansing with plain yogurt and sure enough it works. I simply take a small spoonful (make sure it is plain yogurt, prferably organic), cover my face and neck, sometimes letting it sit on my skin for a few minutes like a mask and then rinse off. My skin is soft and supple and CLEAR.
Conclusions
Worth a try for sensitive, irritated, and/or acne prone skin.
