Skin Care Review: Dermalogica Gentle Creme Exfoliant
|
by Anonymous
Rating Good
Benefits
It didn't irritate or dry my skin which is the dry-sensitive type.
Drawbacks
Tingling sensation that was more intense on some areas of my face
Details I have a mild case of rosacea and it was recommended that I use an exfoliant. The Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant seems to be delivering on its promises. It is formulated with alpha hydroxy lactic acid and beta hydroxy Salicylic Acid to remove dead skin cells and papain and bromelain enzymes to digest the dead skin cells. I'm not sure if these enzymes are equipped to function at the pH of the formulation, but I do know that it has done a good job of clearing up my skin. I experience a slight stinging on some areas of my face, but my face is never left red or irritated following the treatment. The product contains several soothing agents, such as lavender, that I think help the product to be "gentle." The exfoliant is also non-abrasive which I also think helps it not to irritate my skin.
Conclusions
I would recommend this product. It has the right ingrediants and is gentle.
