Skin Care Review: Estee Lauder Micro-D
|
by Tina W, Portland, OR USA
Rating Adverse Effects
Benefits
Supposedly produces younger-looking, smoother skin, according to packaging.
Drawbacks
My skin was red and painful. Also, it is expensive.
Details I guess this product (especially when used in conjunction with Idealist, according to the saleswoman) is supposed to give the same effects as microderm abrasion. Clearer, even skin tone, younger looking skin, diminish appearance of lines, blotchiness and redness. All of this sounded great. The directions say to apply it to clean, damp skin. This allows the product to heat up to clean more deeply into pores. It felt very uncomfortably hot. I messaged the product as directed in the instructions, and felt like I might as well be going as my face with an orbital sander. I couldn't get the stuff off soon enough!
Conclusions
My skin did feel smoother, but was also very red, irritated and painful and not worth it.
