Skin Care Review: Kanebo Silk Peel
|
by Sheri E., Lexington, KY, USA
Rating Excellent
Benefits
Easy to use, works fast
Drawbacks
Expensive and hard to find
Details I saw this in Elle magazine recommended by a high profile make-up artist. You use it like a cleanser, massaging it over your face for a minute or so, then wiping off with a sponge or cloth before a final rinse. I use it about 3 times a week. They recommend using it an night, but I use it in the AM before putting on my make-up. I always use moisturizer after as it really tightens my skin.
I have seen great improvement to the smoothness of my face, especially getting rid of my patches of dryness. Also fewer white- and black-heads. I just started using Retin-A and it helps get rid of the flakes. One drawback to how well it works: I had a patch of winter dryness over my lip and this stuff works so good it kept stripping the skin right off that spot, making it really red. I avoided that spot and it finally cleared up.
Now my husband uses it too, says it's not too "girlie" for him!
Conclusions
I would highly recommend for anyone with skin that is not sensitive
