Skin Care Review: Diamond Peel
|
by P J L, Littleton, CO USA
Rating Adverse Effects
Benefits
The treatment did give me good exfoliation. My cheeks and forehead were glowing afterward.
Drawbacks
I developed a red rash along my chin after the second treatment.
Details I was supposed to receive one Diamond Tome Peel a week for six weeks. The esthitician at my dermatologist's office said I was an excellent candidate for such a procedure. However, she never asked me about my skin to see if it was sensitive or not. I got the first treatment and my skin remained pink for about three days, though she said it would only remain pink for a few hours. My second treatment resulted in a red rash on my chin that would not go away. I saw two esthiticians afterward who thought that the Diamond Tome was done too vigorously and took off too much skin, and that my skin was far too sensitive for such a procedure. I ended up having to go to the dermatologist to get an antiobiotic lotion to clear up the rash.
Conclusions
Do not recommend for sensitive skin.
Price (paid by reviewer) $100 per treatment
