Skin Care Review: Philosophy bicarbonate vitamin C crystals
|
by Alise C., Huntington Beach, CA United States
Rating Good
Benefits
Excellent exfoliant and skin polisher, with a vitamin c kick.
Drawbacks
Needs to be used once or twice a week for maintenance
Details This is a great alternative to aha type exfoliants. The crystals are very fine and proported to be "micro dermabrasion" size. First, you scrub your face with the crystals (in a paste form) and then apply an activation gel which dissolves the crystals and gives your face a dose of vitamin c. You allow this to sit on your face for a few minutes before rinsing off. After usage, my skin is smoother and brighter. The vitamin C is an excellent anti-oxidant and keeps breakouts away. The product claims to dimish lines with continued use, although I think the main draw for this product is the exfoliation and the benefits of vitamin C.
Conclusions
I will continue to use this product in conjunction with Kinerase and Retin-A micro.
