Skin Care Review: Kate Somerville Exfolikate
|
by Monica Mackie
Rating Good
Benefits
Dramatically softer and smoother skin after one treatment
Drawbacks
I have noticed some sensitivity with improper use of the product.
Details This product is advertised as being the "next best thing to seeing Kate in the Clinic!" Exfolikate is a "clinical" strength exfoliant that is for retail sale and for at home use. It is formulated to free skin of stubborn congestion and improve a lifeless complexion. Active fruit enzymes, Papaya and pumpkin coupled with lactic acid work to eleminate dead skin cells and diminish bacteria. Directions are to use 1 to 2 times a week, applying an even layer all over the face and leaving the product on for 20-30 seconds. Although this product does have microbeads there is no need to scrub the skin, just let the enzymes do the work. I love this product, however due to the potency I have seen some misuse. Clients that leave the product on longer than the recommended 30 seconds and those who also scrub excessivley. These things can cause redness, dryness and peeling. I love the results ,smooth, soft, fresh feeling skin in minimal time.
Conclusions
Try this for an at home exfoliation but be cautious to follow directions.
