Skin Care Review: Contour Thread Lift
|
by R Taylor, Clermont, FL, USA
Rating Satisfactory
Benefits
The procedure doesn't leave any visible post-procedural signs other than swelling.
Drawbacks
Long healing time. Several months of pain and swelling. Held in place by scar tissue.
Details I would give the procedure a B-.
First, results are not as dramatic as indicated by literature. Second, it takes several months to heal: pain to diminish, swelling to subside and scar tissue forms around threads holding them in place. Until then patient must be on constant guard not to pull on skin and causing slippage (careful washing face, can't sleep on side, etc). Third, the results are temporary - only four or five years. What happens at that point - does the product disintegrate? Does natural aging take over? The website doesn't provide any answers. Fourth, the cost is rather high for a subtle and temporary improvement.
Conclusions
If you want dramatic and permanent results, go ahead and invest in the facelift.
