Skin Care Review: Thermage
|
by Geraldine
Rating Adverse Effects
Benefits
Supposed to lift and firm facial tissue
Drawbacks
Painful, Huge loss of of subcutaneous tissue, very expensive
Details I am now three years post this proceedure and cannot emphasise enough that this treatment should NOT be allowed. I was deciding between this proceedure and a thread lift. Unusually for me I did not discover the negatives until after the damage was done and I was looking to see if it was just me! Thermage had been recommended by a local Dr. I had minimal lower face sag, the little bags at jaw line below the edge of the lips, after 100% worse. Some minor swelling at the time of treatment allows Thermage to claim plumper and firmer. Wait 3 months after treament and far worse, I developed nasio labial sag which had not existed at all, marrionet lines upper lip, deep wrinkles/folds from lower lip to sags on the jawline. I have repaired 50% of the damage using all the AHA's, copper peptides, all mixed on a weekly basis by myself receipes based on info from this site and micro needling, which I do believe aids penetration
Conclusions
Stay well away from Thermage, mix your own actives!
