Skin Care Review: Skin Medica Vitalize Peel
|
by Dolly, Fontana, CA USA
Rating Good
Benefits
Improved the texture of my skin and lightened my sun damage slightly.
Drawbacks
Mild stinging for a very short duration during procedure. Peeling.
Details I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed in the results after three Skin Medica's Vitalize peels. I had them about one month apart. The first peel was very easy to deal with. It didn't start for two days and only lasted four days before all the dead skin was gone. The second peel seemed to be more invasive. Could be because my skin is sensitive and due to the weather my heater had been working overtime and I was a little dried out. It was like a bad sunburn. I wanted to peel the skin off, but you are instructed NOT to do that. I just had the last peel on Thursday afternoon. It's Saturday morning and no peeling yet, but my face looks great. Pores are more refined. Overall, I am happy with the results. However, I was hoping for better results with my hyperpigmentation from sundamage. I am now considering the Obagi Blue Peel.
Conclusions
Better for treating fine lines that pigmentation issues.
