Skin Care Review: Intense Pulsed Light IPL
|
by Anonymous, San Francisco, CA
Rating Excellent
Benefits
greatly reduced rosacea and pore size
Drawbacks
some bruising
Details I decided to splurge on a series of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatments to get rid of broken capillaries and general redness on my cheeks. The procedure worked well, and I got an additional benefit I hadn't expected--reduced pore size. The procedure does hurt a bit, but it's worth it. After my second treatment, I had some bad bruising that was difficult to cover up for several days.
That bruising has made me delay finishing the treatments, but I have to say that after only two sessions my skin is so improved that I may not need to finish the other sessions. I have heard that IPL also improves sagging skin, but I haven't noticed that benefit yet. Perhaps it's because I have not completed the recommended series of five treatments.
Conclusions
great treatment for broken capillaries and large pores
Price (paid by reviewer) $500
