Skin Care Review: PhotoFacial IPL treatment
|
by Anonymous, Austin, TX 78735
Rating Satisfactory
Benefits
This procedure lightens sun-damage spotting and broken capillary redness.
Drawbacks
There can be more "downtime" than often promised.
Details I was told that the aftereffects of the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) procedures would last a few days. However, in my case, I developed open sores on my chest that took over ten days to heal. Moreover, the pigmented areas "rose" to the top of my skin and darkened dramatically. These will slough off, but I was not aware that this process would be so much slower than the few days promised. Despite this, I am pleased with the results of the treatment; a lightening of pigmentation and reddened areas, a better all-over skin tone, and a lessening of fine lines around the eyes.
Conclusions
Don't do this before an important event unless you are have experience with the procedure.
