Skin Care Review: Obagi Ceffective Vitamin C
|
by Anonymous
Rating Satisfactory
Benefits
Easy to use; not terribly expensive
Drawbacks
Not easy to obtain; burns a bit
Details I spent alot of time in the sun when I was a young girl and felt that I had to have a tan every summer. I must admit I looked better with a little 'rose' in my cheek, but many years later I developed a lot of 'sun spots' on both my face and on the backs of my hands.
I went through a chemical peel using OBAJI, and that took care of 80% of the discoloration, but there are several spots that did not respond to the chemical peel.
For those, I am using a Vitamin C (10%) serum that seems to be fading these spots fairly well. I use it twice a day. It tends to burn and it dries out the skin, so I have to use alot more moisturizing lotion to compensate for the drying effect of the Vitamin C.
Conclusions
I plan to continue using Vitamin C serum for these spots. It will probably take time.
