Details This moisturizer was recommended by my dermatologist. I suffer from Rosacea and I was having a severe outbreak and my skin was very red and inflamed. It was highly reactive and whatever I tried to use for cleanser, moisturizer, etc. just seemed to make things worse. I had been using products that were supposedly formulated to reduce irritation and redness, but everything seemed to make my skin more inflamed. My skin was also very dry and parched so I didn't feel I could go without a moisturizer. The Cerave is very light weight so I felt that it was very gentle when I first put it on. MY skin slowly started to calm down and within 3 days, if became less reactive. It still has some redness, but it is slowly fading. (I have been taking tetracycline for about 3 weeks, and I guess it takes about a month to see good effects from that).
Conclusions
I recently discovered Cerave's gentle cleanser and I would recommend them both.
