Skin Care Review: Jamieson Vital Day Moisturizer
|
by Karen Sabourin, Toronto Canada
Rating Adverse Effects
Benefits
The lotion is packaged in a pump which doesn't spill ,no animal testing label
Drawbacks
I used the product for four days and each day I got sunburned on face.
Details I used this product for four days and each day I recieved a sunburn. This occurred in spite of the moisturizer containing an advertised sunscreen of SPF 20. I was also wearing an additionaI sunscreen product which usually works for me. I usually wear a diferent daily moisturizer with a similar SPF then put on top a sunscreen with Zinc as I am outside for an extended period of time. I think the retinol in the Jamieson moisturizer caused me to be sensitive to the sun as I have never burned to this degree before while wearing sunscreens. I did not know about this possible side effect of retinol until after I used it and think the product should have this info on the package.
Conclusions
Use only if you spend little time exposed to sunshine
