Skin Care Review: Origins balanced diet
|
by D. Kim, Los Angeles, CA
Rating Satisfactory
Benefits
lightweight and somewhat moisturizing
Drawbacks
watery consistency and price
Details I bought Origins balanced diet without doing much research and now regret it. The wheat and soy protein are supposed to moisturize without leaving skin greasy and Konjac powder is supposed to soak up excess oil. The lotion did not make my skin any greasier, but it certainly didn't do much at all in preventing T-zone shininess. The product was also disappointing because for the price of $21 (and the lack of any fancier "treatment" type ingredients), you would expect a lotion that would last a while. I've only used it probably a total of 10-15 times and only 1/3 of the bottle is left. At this rate, if I used it every day, it would last at most 1.5 months! The consistency is very watery, it is very difficult not to get the product spill out of the bottle rather haphazardly. It comes in a rather heavy frosted glass bottle with a wide opening -- one unscrews the cap, tilt and the product comes spilling out. At first I thought I must have gotten a defective sample, but when I checked online -- the consistency was a major complaint by other consumers.
Conclusions
a waste of money
Price (paid by reviewer) 21
