Skin Care Review: St Ives Hydroxy cleanser
|
by gregory linn, new york, NY usa
Rating Satisfactory
Benefits
It is a good moisturizer (for the money).
Drawbacks
The advetisement as an antiwrinkle creme is overstated.
Details This 'age-defying' hydroxy cleanser is a good moisturizer. It must have some glycolic acid in it because it leaves a tingle on my face which is characteristic of alpha-hydroxy acids. It does tend to fade wrinkes and fine lines and in this respect it is worth the money. Actually, I have added alpha hydroxy acids that I purchased to this creme and there have been moderately good results in this context. Indeed, I hope to buy the sorts of ingrediants(ascorbic acide, Vitamin E, etc) and use this creme as an emolient for delivery through the skin.
Conclusions
For the money, this is a good value moisturizer, but it will not get rid of wrinkles.
