Skin Care Review: Elisabeth Arden 8 Hour Skin Protectant
|
by Tina
Rating Excellent
Benefits
Softens dry or chapped skin, keeps moisture locked in
Drawbacks
Greasy
Details Although a greasy petrolatum based cream, it is excellent for any dry spot on the face, patches, chapped lips, ragged cuticles, elbows or heels, etc. I use it on my hands at night and put cotton gloves on. I also put a very very thin layer around my eyes and crows feet on top of a regular eye cream, it keeps the moisture locked in and in the morning the skin feels so much softer. It is not a good face cream because it is definitely occluding, but it does wonders on my eye area or to heal occasional dry spots on my face. It works great with eczema and scar healing as well. It’s medicinal smell is not super pleasant but it’s worth overlooking.
Conclusions
A must have for dry lips and patches, not for face except very dry areas.
