Skin Care Review: bare escentuals mineral makeup
|
by Karen, cerritos, CA USA
Rating Satisfactory
Benefits
covers redness, gives lighter skin, creamy powdery foundation, mutiple colors.
Drawbacks
does not cover dark circle, irritation, bismuth oxychloride is added in powder.
Details I bought this product from sephora, it contains bare escentuals mineral veil, foundations 1.2 and 2, warmth and 3 brushes.
I bought it becase the sales told me this product is so safe, you could even sleep with it. I was very suprise and after sephora sales applied to my skin, it turns out like a magic.. my radish cheek was gone. I was very excited with " natural'" mineral make up, sephora sales says it is pure and actually good for any sensitive skins. However.. I felt my dark circle does not covered well, and the fine lines under my eyes look oviously.. .. I bought it and i decided to try it and wish this is better than any other foundations and compacts i had before.but after serval hours i put it on, it turns out itchy for me.I felt unsafe so i went online and check what is " mineral" makeup, and other
comments from internet. I found out they did added bismuth oxychloride in their powder, and it could give you irritations. since I bought bare escentuals Makeup from a far away city and i lost my reciept.. -.-" so i cannot return it to sephora.. I continuely using it.. it was very strange that the itchy feeling is not strong as before after the 4th times I apply on my skin. it doesn't have any break out and my rosacea (not sure if i spell it right..) is not obious as before.. It gives me a BIG QUESTION... I seriously don't know why it contains bismuth oxychloride but my rosacea is not obvious anymore.I had rosacea since 8 years ago. I always tried to cure but everyone know there is no way to cure except you do the surgery.. i think make up works differently for everyone.. i only use bare escentuals Makeup for 1 month.. maybe it will turns out different again later.. howeever..
even tho it doesn't gives me any break out or irritation... i guess i wont buy it again.. i am scared i might have irritation later.....(o.o*)
Conclusions
some limitations of what it conceals; may irritate skin
