Skin Care Review: vitamin E topical
|
by lisa, san rafael, CA usa
Rating Excellent
Benefits
Applying vitaminE oil topically helps to promote healing and sooth pain from mild burns.
Drawbacks
Vitamin E oil is messy, sticky and stinky and some people may be allergic to it.
Details With the exception of a major burn that requires medical assistance, I've alwaysapplied vitamin E oil on minor burns from toasters or stoves or splatters of hot oil. When such a burn happens to me, I pierce a capsule of vitamin E and rub a little on the burn site as soon as possible. It stops the pain, eliminates the blister that would have otherwise formed and helps heal. The times when I have not been able to apply the vitamin E, my pain has lasted for a long time and the blister seems to linger. Applying vitamin E has always been helpful to me.
Conclusions
Vitamin E oil helps burns when applied topically, but I am not a doctor.
