Rating Excellent
Benefits
The NOW shea butter healed my 3 year old son'd very inflamed ecxema.
Drawbacks
I did not find there to be any drawbacks for this product.
Details My three year old son was having the worst ecxema outbreak that he had ever had to date. I was pretty desparate to help him because he was quite uncomfortable and I was was concerned about his skin getting infected. His pediatrician had given me several steroid perscriptions but I had read about adverse side effects and did not want to use them. I started reading an aruvedic health book for kids. They recommended shea or avocado butter for deep healing. A daily massage was suggested. I began doing this for my son. He loved getting a massage and within a few days he was better and his skin was really healing. I was so thrilled and have reccommended the pure shea butter to many people since. I have tried almost everything on his skin in the past. Pediatricians also had suggested Eucerin and vasoline but they are from petroleum and it just felt a little toxic to me.
Conclusions
I would reccommend shea butter to anyone who is having itchy or dry skin.
