Skin Care Review: Clinique Super City Block SPF 40
|
by Carrie
Rating Adverse Effects
Benefits
I thought it would be a good product because it has titanium dioxide and zinc oxide.
Drawbacks
It has Octinoxate and Octisalate in it and my skin is a lot darker.
Details Now since doing more research which I should have done in the first place, Ive decided to find an actual sunblock that is organic and helps my skin more than hurts it. That was the only department store brand of skin care cream or lotion I turned to and never again! I do not agree with chemicals to begin with and I'd have to say I regret my decision to depend on a department store to fulfill ANY skincare need. I consider myself to be an herbalist by nature, so what was I thinking? I dont care so much about the texture or the look of a sunscreen as much as I do about its actual effectiveness. This one was not effective if it helped turn my skin darker. My face is tan and Im against having any kind of tan so Im disappointed.
Conclusions
I would have to say switching to an all natural/organic sunscreen would be better.
