Skin Care Review: La Roche-Posay Anthelios L Total Block SPF 60
|
by marta
Rating Excellent
Benefits
Known to be one of the few true UVA suncreens.
Drawbacks
Can leave a shiny/oily film on skin.
Details This is both a UVA and UVB sunscreen, but is not yet available in the U.S because the FDA has not approved of Mexoryl. It can however be ordered via internet at www.feelbest.com (Canada). It is totally effective. It was also reviewed in the Sunday New York Times 6/9/2005. I use it because UVA rays are worse than UVB and no sunscreens have this in the U.S.
The creme has a very nice feel to it, it is essentially no scent to be offended by, and the "whiteness" ot it absorbs quite readily, but I find my face looks oily afterwards. Therefore I apply my blush or dust my forehead and cheeks with my bronzer afterwards. Other powders could be considered.
Conclusions
Great protection, available via post.
Price (paid by reviewer) $25
